Clyde Fenton O.D.
Dr. Clyde M. Fenton was born August 1, 1947 in Portsmouth, Ohio and has been a life long resident. Dr. Fenton attended Ohio University from 1965 - 68. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1972 from the Ohio State University College of Optometry.

Upon graduation, Dr. Fenton was associated with Dr. Raymond Carson. Dr. Fenton started his solo practice July 1, 1985 at his present address, 2002 Robinson Avenue. Dr. Fenton received his Diagnostic Pharmaceutical license in 1985. He received his Therapeutic Pharmaceutical license in 1992.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association and was twice zone governor of the Southern Ohio Optometric Association. He is a member of Epsilon Psi Epsilon, the national optometric fraternity, The National Eye Research Foundation, the Portsmouth Elks Lodge, Lions Club, and twice served as president of the Portsmouth Lions Club.

Dr. Fenton earned his certification in contact lens practice from the National Eye Research Foundation in 1986, conducted under the authority of the Certification AUthority Committee, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Fenton  also earned the American Optometric Association's Optometric Recognition award in 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995. This award is presented to Optometrists who have completed 150 credit hours of continuing education in a three year period and 50 hours of continuing education per year thereafter.

Dr. Fenton completed a 30-hour mini-residency in clinical updates given by the Ohio State College of Optometry in 1991.

Joseph Wm. Babcock, O.D.
Dr. Joseph Wm. Babcock was born April 11, 1952 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Dr. Babcock represent the third generation of practicing optometrists. His grandfather, Joseph M. Babcock, Sr. began his optometric practice with Dr. James Bennett in 1916. He served as the secrectary for the National American Optometric Association for more than two decades.

Dr. Babcock's father, Joseph M. Babcock, Jr. joined this practice in 1950. Thirty years later in 1961, Dr. Joseph Wm. Babcock continued the longstanding tradition of providing eyecare to the people of southern Ohio and northern Kentucky.
Dr. Babcock graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in zoology in 1975. Dr. Babcock then attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he received two degrees, Doctor of Optometry and Bachelor of Science in Physiological Optics.

Dr. Babcock has completed externships in low vision rehabilitation at the prestigious William Feinbloom Institute and the Pediatric Vision Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Babcock was board certified by the state of Ohio in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceuticals in 1985 and 1992, respectively.

Dr. Babcock has been a member of the Ohio Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association since 1981. He is past president of zone 7 of the Ohio Optometric Association. He is a member of Rotary, board member of the Sister City organization, and an active church member.

He is married to his wife Sue. They have three children: Joseph, Abigail and Taylor. Dr. Babcockenjoys hunting fishing and gardening.
